Question for girls

<p>How do you feel about suits? Not in places you would expect to find suits, but in places you wouldn't expect to see suits. I've been wearing my suit at least once a week all year, and I'm kind of wondering if it is hurting me with girls, but I love suits. Also, how about just wearing a random tie without a suit? I do that when I'm not wearing a suit :P</p>

<p>I’m a girl. And I LOVE when guys dress up. It’s so classy. I’m serious. This may be just me, but I always look forward to orchestra/band/choir concerts and such because guys all have to wear suits. Bow ties? Even better. So. Classy. I’m just such a sucker for well-dressed guys.</p>

<p>I’m male, but I’m going to just throw in my two cents if you don’t mind. Male fashion is about trying to find that happy medium between standing out too much and blending in. Going to school and wearing a suit seems like it would be one of those situations where it would be standing out too much. Wearing a suit is great in certain situations, but going to school in a suit for no special occasion just seems like overdressing. Your ultimate goal in every-day fashion would be to try to look good without making it seem to other people that you try so hard to look good.</p>

<p>Of course, though, that’s just my opinion, but it’s pretty widespread among most male fashion circles. Generally, suits should be reserved for weddings, funerals, black-tie events (e.g., prom), formal work places, maybe church or going out to eat at a really high-class place, but that’s about it. A button-down would probably be as “formal” as you can go without being too formal at school. If you want to make a compromise, I think a sports jacket or blazer could work if you paired it up with dark jeans or khakis/chinos. I still think it’s pushing it a little for high school, but it’s definitely less formal and can look really nice if done right.</p>

<p>I’m not saying don’t wear suits. Heck, wearing suits is probably my favorite thing to wear because they look so good. However, there’s a time and a place for everything. Wear your suit until it falls apart at concerts, operas, dances, weddings, but I’d say keep it in your closet when it comes to every-day school wear.</p>

<p>I love when guys dress up lol. Although, it’s a bit weird if they dress up for no reason; usually they put on a suit and tie if they have an away game directly after school. </p>

<p>I’m also a sucker for ties… I mean, I wear them myself when the situation calls for it.</p>

<p>What about just wearing ties? I’m completely obsessed with ties, I own like 30 of them. It wouldn’t be with a dress shirt or anything, just with a tshirt or hoodie.</p>

<p>Lol honestly, I think it’s kind of hot when guys wear suits ^.^ Although I will admit that doing it just for the heck of it might be a bit weird, but if you have somewhat of an excuse then it’s fine… Like for our masterminds team, we have to dress up fairly nicely for the meets, and the guys wear suits… (which I love, because they always look so nice.:p) Haha, I’m lame, but it’s true…</p>

<p>That’s amazing! I actually have male friend that also wears suits to school everyday. I think it’s extremely classy and attractive. I definitely think you should continue :)</p>
