What's your opinion on girls being the one to ask guys out? How would you react about it?

I wanna ask my school's quarterback to a legit football game, but I don't wanna freak him out by being too forward, lmfao. So I want some opnions to see what the general feeling is. :)

It’s easier than waiting for him to ask you, that’s for sure. Girls don’t have to be the one sitting back and waiting for the guy to give signs. For most guys, a girl taking the initiative is something really refreshing and they will definitely appreciate it.

Depends: if I don’t like the girl as more than a friend and there’s a very sudden realization (read: being asked out or something similar) then I do not react well; if I do like the girl then I’d be pleasantly surprised.

P.S. - As my 50-something history teacher once put it: if a guy realizes a girl likes him, he will most likely not pass up on the opportunity. All you need to get a guy is to like him.

Note that this doesn’t apply to everyone (i.e. me), but for many guys this may be the case.

I’m liking all of the positive feedback on this, thanks guys! :)

One of my friends had told me that it would kind of freak him out, so I wanted to check with a larger group of guys to see if that was normal, or if they mostly liked the idea.
So thank you for reassuring me that it is a good idea. :}
