Just out of curiousity, do underclassmen look like kids to you? If you don't get my question I'll try to clarify.

Well, new freshmen really do but I think it is merely because they were little fro the beginning not because of an age.
So, for example, when I was at the wrestling tournament of my middle school one year ago (me being freshman at HS at the time), there were no people in UNL or 192. However, in days when I was there, 192 was filled with five people and UNL with three.

What is "little fro"? And "UNL" and "192."

I'm a junior and look like I'm a freshman, so...

For sure. Back in 8th grade, the 6th graders looked like little kids too.

I swear, the kids 2 years and 3 years younger than me are SOO short. Back in 8th grade I was pretty certain they were shorter than I was in 6th grade. Now, I know for sure because I really haven't grown at all since 8th grade, and most of them are a couple inches shorter than me.

Little from the beginning, not because I had grown up :)

192 -- weight class in wrestling under 192, UNL -- unlimited, everything above.

Omg, yes! Tell me why every year the kids get shorter and shorter. I seen this one kid who looks like he's 8 or 9 and he's up to my waist and I'm 5'7! It's just a shame because all the older, taller seniors pick on the small ones but somehow I always back them up, I hate bullies (I used to be one).

Yeah, new freshmen look like little kids! I swear, there are a couple that haven't hit puberty yet walking around the high school. Those kids definitely look little. Some others are really short and just young-looking too. By the end of the year, though, freshmen look pretty much like everyone else. It's just now, and until about December/January that I notice it.

Last year my high school had a really, really short freshman class. I'm 5' 8" and I swear, there were guys who didn't even come up to my chest--not that I'd want their eyes at that level. ;) I think I've only grown an inch since 8th grade, and when I was in 8th and 9th grade, I didn't feel taller than average. I did get mistaken for an upperclassman a lot, though. Who knows.

Yeah it seems that the freshman are getting shorter and shorter every year.
Heh I'm also 5'3...

Yeah, I'm 5'7 and I go to an all-girls school so when I see freshmen guys at sporting events or wherever they seem really really small. With freshmen girls I don't notice it as much I guess maybe just that they have young faces but that's basically it

They're tinyy (although most of them are taller and have like 30 pounds on me..)!! How old are they..like 12? ;)

yeah. freshmen...definitely small.
however, most of them go through growth spurts when they come back as sophomores.

the freshies are def. small...and that's coming from me, who's usually mistaken for a sophomore...but the actual sophomores and juniors look older than some of us b/c they use LOTS of makeup, lol.

ahha! well we have short upperclassmen also (NO OFFENSE TO SHORT PEOPLE), but the main thing that makes freshmen stick out is the gawkiness. little tiny freshmen who have been urged by their parents to "JOIN CLUBS!" and "SEIZE OPPORTUNITIES!" have wide, gawky eyes that are just innocent and unknowing and in some freshmen, quite stupid. some are scared and wide eyed, and some are excited, thinking "YAY OMG IM HYPED UP ON A SUGARY BREAKFAST AND MOMMY+DADDY TOLD ME TO SEIZE OPPORTUNITIES....NOW WHAT?!" hahaha. yeah.

Very short underclass, including multiple freshman males under 5'0". (In my own band section a sophomore is 4'11".)

student numbers of new freshmen at my school now start from 10 (6-digit number, first two are graduation year). that freaks me out. i feel old (i'm 07)

I definately think freshmen look like little kids. I mean, I am one of those unfortunate seniors that is 5ft. But, there is something about freshmen that screams out underclassmen.

It's weird because when I was a freshman I rememeber thinking that the seniors looked so old and mature and COOL, but as a senior now, I don't feel any older or more mature or cooler. Although I have to admit that the freshmen look really young and 98% need to be shot for making too much noise all the time.

i'd have to admit though that there are some nice looking freshman girls this year at my school. sometimes i see a girl and think "jeez, i'd really like to see those breasts when she's a senior"
i'm dirty, i know
