Question Regard West Point SLS Admissions

Hello all, I created an account on this site for the sole purpose of asking this question, so any response would be greatly appreciated.

Last night, the application for the West Point SLS (well, now SLE) opened up. I filled out the app, submitted it, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed now.

So, my question: How does West Point confirm submitted PSAT, ACT, Class Rank information?

I submitted my stats: PSAT - 223. ACT - 34. Class Rank 1/210. But, for all West Point knows, I could have made these up, since I don't think I've ever requested any scores to be sent there.

It's not a big deal, but it'd be great if somebody could shed a little light on the process. Thanks much!

My DD attended last year - you will definitely submit official scores for the application but I think you are correct, not at this time- don’t forget…Honor, Duty, Country -

BTW it was a phenomenal experience - we are currently waiting outcome for admissions

Great! Thanks for the quick reply. And of course, I certainly hope anyone who applies to West Point has enough integrity to supply accurate information.

That’s good to hear, best of luck to you and your daughter throughout this process and, hopefully, her time at West Point!

I think the cost for lying, most would know, would be the ultimate price. While SLE items may not have to be verified, they will indeed need the official items if one applies to West Point. If at that point it is clear that a person lied for SLE well…I think they would kiss their chances goodbye for an appointment.

Still, you would HOPE that all summer applicants would be honest simply because that is the right thing to do!
