Just started junior year this past week, finally became immersed in the AP classes. We went through the specifics of the AP test and were notified that in order to graduate with honors from my school you must get a 4 or 5 on an AP test this year. The reason being is that the score reports don't come back till July.

I see a lot of "Chance Me" threads with multiple AP test scores. I'm guessing everyone took those in their Junior year then? My school is only allowing us to take two AP test Junior year, is that bad college wise?

AP scores don’t matter for admissions, and colleges only except you to take the most rigorous schedule available to you. If your school doesn’t let you take more APs, then you’re fine.

Some people take AP tests before their junior year, and some people self-study for the tests and take them independently. It just depends on your school. Until just recently, no one in my school took AP tests. Now my school is emphasizing their importance so now more and more people are taking them. Luckily, we don’t have the AP requirement for honors (yet).

To summarize, if your school only allows you to take two, then colleges don’t expect you to take more. But it is a good idea to take as many as are available to you.
