Question regarding Concurrent enrollment

I'm currently attending a california community college, my school offers concurrent enrollment to uc Berkeley. has anyone had any luck with this. by passing the concurrent enrollment classes does it allow you to get automatic transfer to Berkeley?

Yes, concurrent enrollment gets you an automatic transfer to Berkeley.

What? No it doesn’t. Concurrent enrollment is the same as cross enrollment. It allows you to take a course or two at Berkeley without having to apply for admission to the school. It’s designed for people who need to fulfill a couple classes to meet transfer/admission requirements.

LOL @Vivace… okay. Time to be serious. Grimes99 is right, it’s mainly to fulfill transfer/admission requirements that are not offered at your CC. Pretty much if you do bad, you’re screwed for Berkeley. If you do okay, then okay. If you do amazing, that MIGHT boost your chances.

Yeah haha I have no idea where you’re coming from on that one, Vivace. Berkley doesn’t offer any transfer guarantee. They have TAP, but that’s it.

well hypothetically, if you got an A in one of their concurrent enrollment classes for lets say calculus and calc was one of your prerequisites, I would assume that would put you in a lot better position for xfer? I could be living in candy land though.

A better position? Maybe. A lot better position? No.

try to do a prerequisite that is only offered at cal. that might be a better opportunity because you would have an edge over the people who did not complete that prereq.
