question

ok, so i want to take a fiat lux course as i've heard that you can apply it toward honors credit (i'm in honors).

the thing is that i'm not a freshman, but i know that there are people who aren't freshmen who take these classes.

URSA won't let me add the class because it states that i'm "not a freshman"

how do i bypass this? should i just email the professor? talk to my counselor and get them to override it?

You have to wait until the first-year restriction is lifted. Not sure when that is exactly...

maybe freshman second pass?

but it is freshman second pass? i'm pretty sure it is

no i think that's tomorrow.

well, freshman second pass started already (yesterday).....so i don't know why you can't enroll...

ugh so i emailed the professor...he sent me this:

Thanks for your interest in the course. However, it is really just a one credit class for freshmen, it is not an in depth course of the sort that would be appropriate for a junior in Middle Eastern studies. I suggest that you look for a more serious course in the Politics department.

I suppose he doesn't know that people in the honors program get honors credit for the course?

Yeah, he doesn't....maybe mention that to him and then he'll understand...
