Questions About Boston College ED Admission

BC is no doubt my number one choice. I have a few strategic questions about the application process that are the only things holding me back from applying early decision.

First, here are my grades, EC's, ect:

GPA: unweighted 3.9, weighted 4.4
SAT's: 690 Math
750 Reading
760 writing

EC's: Varsity Soccer- 4 years
Varsity Volleyball- 2 years
Varsity Tennis- 4 years
Newspaper- 4 years (managing editor)
Masterminds- 3 years ( Started in sophomore year)
Mock Trial- 4 years (team captain)
Word of Difference Club ( social justice) (secretary)
Band- 4 years (participated in NYSMA, a solo performance competition)
National Honor Society

AP Classes: AP European History- 4, sophomore year
AP American History- 4, junior year
AP Biology- 4, junior year
AP English, Senior Year

If I failed to include something important let me know. Here are my questions.

Do I have a good chance getting into Boston College with these stats, or am I wasting my time applying ED, and I should just save the application for a school I actually have a chance with?

Regardless If I would get in or not, would it be a good strategy for me to hold off applying ED in order to raise my GPA during the first semester of my senior year.

Would it make I big difference if I took AP Physics my Senior Year. Taking this class would allow me to receive AP Scholar recognition.

I dont come from the most affluent of households, so receiving (or not receiving) a sufficient aid package will definitely influence my decision. I've heard that when you apply ED, colleges are less likely to give you a lot of aid. Is this true of BC, and if so, to what extent?

Finally, I have little to no community service. I feel this is a huge flaw in my application. I have plenty of ways that I could rack up some community service hours. Would It be a big deal if I held off applying early so that I could get more community service hours not just in the three months of school ( before ED deadline), but before the RD deadline as well?

This is my first post on CC, so if I'm breaking any forum rules or what not just let me know. Answering these questions would be a big help.

Considering BC is your #1, I would expect you to know more about the school and that it is EA not ED…

Right. Editing…

boston college doesnt have ED
