<p>I just got an email from colgate university, starting looking into them and starting to become very interested, but what are my chances, and could they give me a lot of grant money?
my unweighted gpa up till this year is 92.9. I got 650 writing, 720 math, 560 writing, on sats, taking again in october. I have a good amount of extracurriculars, and volunteer service, work experience, all that fun stuff colleges love. I could give more details on that if you need. My family does not have much money, to the best of my knowledge the annual income is about 42,000 for a family of 4, brother started college this year, and we have massive medical bills because he has a chronic illness.
Would i get accepted into colgate university and about how much do you think they would give me?

<p>As you are doing research on Colgate and other LACs, I suggest you go to some primary sources for more tangible (and frankly more credible) information than is available here relative to these 2 important questions on admissions chances and financial aid: your guidance counselor, the admissions officers at these colleges and their websites.</p>
<p>For example, how does your academic profile relate to the statistics shown on the colgate.edu site’s section profiling the Class of 2014? What are you learning about various colleges’ need blind and need aware policies? How do you/would you distinguish yourself in the application process so that you get the attention that you want?</p>
