Questions about deadline and sending in essays

Since I have some italics and other formatting, I think I'll have to send in my essays "under separate cover."

I've read somewhere that I could email them to Libby... but I can't find specific instructions on that anywhere, does anyone know what exactly goes in the email, besides the essays themselves? (I mean, I'm sure they expect some sort of identification...)

On UChicago's site there are instructions on how to send essays in via snail mail, and I wouldn't mind doing that, but the instructions also say they have to be posted marked by Jan 2nd, and I still can't mail my essays because I haven't finished editing them. I will probably have to finish up and submit by Baker Island time, or something.... does that mean I can't mail my essays?

Lastly, when exactly IS the deadline? Does the baker island thing apply only to the online application itself, or does that include the essays that I'm sending separately?

So many questions...

i dunno about ur essays, but the deadline is baker island time...ugh, i'm gonna have to the same; o_O

so I have to email Libby before it's Jan 03... Thanks, now who can tell me what I need to put in that email?

I just wrote a short bit about how I needed to email with an attachment because I had formatting. I signed my name... That's probably enough, right? Unless you have an uber-common name. Maybe put school and State if you're worried...

"If you want your teacher recommendations or other documents to get here as quickly as possible, you can email them to questions@phoenix.uchicago.edu and I can forward them directly in your application. Things can be attachments or in the body of the message. Just make sure you label it correctly, i. e. "Essay Question 1" or "Supplemental Recommendation.""
