Sorry to post so many questions about living on campus @ Penn.

Are there a lot of single rooms? Which halls are usually quiter? Is there an all girl dorm over there? how about living off campus? Is it safe?? and what is the price range like?

Are you a transfer? (I was just looking at "Location" under your username in the sidebar)

there are a good number single rooms available in quad, though because housing is determined by lottery it's not guaranteed that you'll get it. no college house is perfect, so you have to find the one that best suits your preferences. If you absolutely must have a single, check out Gregory - they have 4 bedroom apartments - but be prepared to forgo a social atmosphere. It's a VERY quiet dorm. Also the highrises are relatively quiet, though some people can get noisy on the weekends. As for all female floors, I think there are two residential programs that cater to that. There is also a substance-free residential program, if you're more comfortable with that. Residential programs are basically floors designated for people who share a particular interest, and they often hold events for members.

I don't know anything about off-campus housing....

Yah.I was accepted as a transfer to Wharton for fall 2007. Yah I was used to the quiet Michigan girl dorm. So I am looking for some things similar at Penn.

what are the social dorms besides the Quad?

Hill...and the highrises aren't as bad as people make them out to be, but then again, I'm biased.
