I'm interested in the Writing for Film and Television program and was wondering how competitive it is to get in? I don't have too much experience, would a simple screenplay suffice? What should I include in my application if not?

Also, would admission into the Honors Program affect my major and the courses I take at all? The website left that a bit open-ended. And is a 3.9 weighted GPA/2200 SAT acceptable for their Honors Program?

I don’t believe Writing for Film and Television requires a portfolio submission.

Your stat looks good for honors, the requirements are here:

The honors classes basically replace many of your general ed requirements (humanities and writing), so it really doesn’t affect your major classes (other than the workload may be a bit higher). It does limit when you could go to the castle (if you want, fall of sophomore year), and if you are thinking about the LA program, you will need to make sure to complete your honor’s thesis before going.

Thank you!

Also, does admission into the Honors Program automatically guarantee the Trustees’ Scholarship?
