Can anyone confirm that first quarter senior grades will not be broadcasted to colleges?

If the answer to the aforementioned question is "no", then do senior grades even matter, beyond the "WE MAY UN-INVITE YOU" precaution?

When speaking of "GPA"; is one speaking of the average of one's freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior year GPAs?

It is August 18th. Do I have time to take the ACT and receive my scores before I submit my applications?

I cannot confirm something which is not true; unless you are applying ED or EA, colleges will recieve your first term senior grades.

High schools do not have consistent GPA systems, so there is no way to tell exactly what any given GPA means. If someone just says “this is my GPA”, they will USUALLY mean from 9th to 11th grade weighted, but even then weighting systems vary among high schools.

You do indeed have time to take the ACT and see your scores before you submit applications.
