Questions regarding housing. .

I’ll be a freshman next year for the fall 2008-2009 period at the business school and I just wondered if anyone here could help me out with a few questions I had regarding housing. . .

-Are you able to make a request for a particular dorm?

-What is the best dorm in your opinion for a fun and stimulating college experience?

-Would you reccomend living in a residential community as a frosh?

-What dorm houses the residential community for W.P. Carey? Is it worth it?

Thanks,

Jonathan

San Diego

-Are you able to make a request for a particular dorm?

Yes you are able to make a request to particular dorm(s), selecting the want you most want to stay to the least.

I find the online application more convenient: http://www.asu.edu/studentaffairs/reslife/applying-and-rates_full.html

-What is the best dorm in your opinion for a fun and stimulating college experience?

From the time I've spent at the college, all dorms are active and stimulating in community. However, your view/opinion of a fun college experience may be different from others. Some dorms are known to be for party-goers, while others (Barretts) are for people more keen with educational goals.

-Would you reccomend living in a residential community as a frosh?

If you are also a Barrett Honors student, I would definitely suggest the honors dorm. It might be a bit shabby now but the new dorms are simply amazing. If not, I personally prefer the Hassayampa dorms being so that they are relatively new with great facilities (the W.P. Carey community is located in the south neighborhood btw).

-What dorm houses the residential community for W.P. Carey? Is it worth it?

I believe the residential community for W.P. Carey is the Hassayampa Academic Village but am not too sure.

I too will be attending the W.P. School of Business this fall as a business honors student majoring in econ. Hope to see you around. :)

I'm a current honors student and former business major. If you're honors I'd suggest living in the honors college, if not Hassayampa in the W.P. Carey Living and Learning Community would be my recommendation.
