Questions

Okay. Here is the problem. I'm a current freshman in CIT who really wanted to take 15-110 this semester. Unfortunately, there wasn't any space left when I registered, so I ended up being waitlisted. I didn't get off the waitlist, but I still really want to take 15110 (Intro to Programming). This is mostly b/c I do sort of want to double major with CS. What should I do?

Thanks. :)

What I would do is first, email your CIT academic advisor and tell them about your situation. Sometimes, they can pull some strings and get you in.

I’d also email the professor of the course and explain your story again. Professors may also be able to slot you in as well.

Of course, there is the real possibility of a physical limitation of the course (as in the number of lecture hall seats or chairs in the room). Sometimes, you could very well not get it at all.

Best of luck!
