Quick Question about Academic Admission

So I received my transcript today, and it's not as good as I thought it would be. More than 200 kids have been dropped from my school's district, bumping me outside of the top 10%.

Now of course, I've been freaking out. But I checked the A&M website and found the Academic Admit portion, where it says I can get auto-admitted if I'm in top quarter and my ACT scores meet the requirements, which they do.

Now for my question: Do Academic Admits work just like Auto-Admits, where I will get my requested major if I send in my application right now, ASAP?

The simple answer is yes… with the proviso that your major still has to have open spots when your application is processed. Some majors fill up very quickly. Submit your application ASAP!

You are not guaranteed your school of choice even if you are auto admit. You probably have better shot being academic admit because it means your scores are higher. Good Luck!
