quick question about math requirement

Can statistics fulfill the math requirement for tag agreement?

I wanted to take math during second year of cc (a terrible idea) and might not be able to add in a calculus class...if that's the case, I wondered if stats (which I'm enrolled in) can be the substitute. :/

my sources say yes

are you sure?

yeah ur fine. stats is math

-stress depleted-

YAYYYYYY :DDDDD
For some reason (reason=paranoia) I thought stats will be unacceptable.
But both of you are awesome for answering my post. Thank you. (:

Doesn’t your school have a little paper which tells you all of the transferable courses? It might do you good to step into a counseling office cuz if you don’t know something like this, it boggles the mind to think of what else you could be missing.

I just don’t wanna see you back here next summer crying like “This school rejected me because I didn’t finiash X pre-req”

I have your best interest in mind. :)

Yes, they do. I know I’m fine with the rest of my (transferable) courses, and I know (or believe I do…presently) enough about my transfer position and what I need to do to achieve a guarantee.
I just wanted to ascertain whether or not stats counted because I viewed it outside of my math requirement, and just as a part of a major requirement.
(When I get anxious I’m very faulty minded/mentally disabled and need someone to immediately reassure me that I’m alright. Hahhaha. :stuck_out_tongue: It’s quite deplorable…)

But thanks for the concern. (:

If Calculus is part of your major taking stats is certainly NOT a substitute or part of your correct math path then. It is the complete other direction and you’d be wasting your time and only irritate counselors and admin for even attempting to substitute Stats for Calc on a TAG. The people here telling you it is a acceptable substitute because math is math don’t know what they are talking about. TAG is exactly what it says, an AGREEMENT, and you would be breaking agreement putting yourself into detriment.

look at assist.org to see if it satisfies the math requirement at your community college
