Quick question, should take 2 seconds, in PR 366 best colleges..

I am a junior, and was looking at my sister's 366 best colleges by Princeton review. Just browsing to see where I could get into, I noticed the GPA. Now, is that an unweighted GPA, a GPA like the UC GPA, or is that a weighted gpa where all honors and AP are calculated. KNow how they calculate that GPA? I want to compare myself to those colleges. I noticed ucla has an average gpa of 4.11 or something. so how does PR, calculate GPAs of all these colleges??

2006 edition by the way.

The GPA is usually weighted.

But remember, most colleges recalculate your GPA to only include your 'important' classes. So like, your D in 9th grade PE might not matter at all.
Also, the reported GPA's are extremely misleading because all schools are different when it comes to difficulty level.
Basically, don't freak out if you don't have the 'average GPA', SAT scores are a more accurate marker to go by.

If any of the GPAs listed are above 4.0, the must all be weighted.
Seriously though your GPA changes a LOT during junior/senior years, so don't freak.
