In respect to the elements discussed in the topic, how do these schools rank from you perspective?

Princeton
Cornell
Duke
Amherst
Stanford
Upenn
Williams
Georgetown
Columbia

Enjoy!

Here's Mine:

Princeton
Amherst
Columbia
Williams
Duke
Stanford
Upenn
Georgetown
Cornell

What constitutes quality and prestige, as they are subjective terms meaning different things to different people. No one's answer will be right or wrong. It will just be *their * preference.

They are all outstanding and any ranking serves little useful purpose.

hmm, Georgetown in head of Cornell, i find that a lil weird...i don't think anyone would place Georgetown in head of Cornell in terms of prestige or quality of programs or quality of anything except for international relations.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Depends on department. Cornell would easily be 2nd for engineering, 1st for hotel administration.

Princeton
Stanford
Columbia
Upenn
Duke
Cornell
Williams
Amherst
Georgetown

Princeton-Stanford
Columbia
Duke-UPenn
Cornell
Amherst
Williams
Georgetwon

why just these?

I think these are the schools he is going to apply to, Slipper.

Bananainpajamas and PalmBeach got it right.

Edit: Slipper, if Dartmouth were in it it would be...

Princeton-Stanford
Columbia
Duke-UPenn-Dartmouth
Cornell
Amherst
Williams
Georgetown

:)

According to Wharton MBA profile, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Cornell, ahahah.

pssh...show me a link buddy. :)

According to any law school....

Duke > Cornell

Not by much though lol

But still...

BAM!

one of these threads pops up every week and every week it reduces to a 10-page flamefest of "EVEN THOUGH WE'RE BOTH PREFROSH IM GOING TO THIS SCHOOL SO I THINK ITS BETTER THAN YOUR SCHOOL"

then alexandre stops by and says Michigan is in the top 5 and ivydude or whatever his name is disputes it

no one is flaming here lol

Georgetown doesn't deserve to be on that list IMO.

Of the ones given...

1.Princeton-Stanford
2.Columbia-Duke-UPenn-Amherst-Williams
3.Cornell

5.Georgetown

Princeton

Columbia

Duke

Stanford

UPenn

Georgetown

Cornell

Amherst/Williams

undergraduate quality and prestige are 2 different things. If you want to talk about prestige, Cornell is one of the most prestigious ones on the list and much More known than amherst/williams and georgetown.

These threads are a recurring nightmare

I love 'em. :)
