jec, if you didn't know I attended Michigan and Cornell, you would not say I am biased if I rate them highly. Furthermore, if you didn't know I attended Michigan, you wouldn't attribue my rating "rival schools" poorly to bias.

But I agree, my respect for Michigan (and a reasonable person's respect for any university) should have nothing to do with/be influenced by my having gone there for college. I am capable of being objective when it comes to Michigan. But I am still open to attack when I admit I actually attended the school.

Alexandre has always made it perfectly clear that he attended Michigan and Cornell. He is not the one who is constantly berating other peer schools and making it look like they are not worthy of their ratings. In my opinion, bias exists when someone has an agenda that needs to be fulfilled in order to feel better about themselves.

In terms of prestige and perennial powers, the WCHA dominates the CCHA and Hockey East. They have Minnesota, North Dakota, CC, and Denver, teams that are always contenders. Also they have a strong bottom end with the exception of Alaska Anchorage, while the CCHA and Hockey East have a few good teams with a weak back end. Last years championship was an exception, and the WCHA is almost always represented and often times wins.

Michigan is number 1, but you must mention that 2, 3, 4, and 5 are all WCHA. You are just proving my WCHA depth argument. Also, listen to this, 7 out of Michigan's 9 titles came when they were in the WCHA, I bet you didn't know that, huh.
