So, what do you think for MIT? what are my chances?

your stats are very impressive as are your extracirriculars
i think you have a very good chance of getting into MIT

LOL ISEF, did I meet you there last month?

Your chances are just as good as anyone's (I'm gonna predict EA acceptance contingent on essays), although 2 years at ISEF...that's boss.

wow.. just wow.

Very, very good chance. I would apply to Caltech and Stanford also, but that's just me.

thanks you guys....
it's just that people (like my *****y counselor) are telling me my chances are significantly lower due to a B+ in span soph year. But america's better than that, right?

wow, I didn't even notice your B+ the rest of stats are so amazing that they would easily overlook that. The A/A+'s are overwhelming the tiny B+.

Just keep in mind you'll be competing with lots of amazing applicants, so you aren't by any means guaranteed admission. Someone I know went to RSI and got a 2380 on the SAT at 15 and is applying to MIT.

You look like a strong applicant.

Forget the B+ -- it's trivial. NO ONE WILL CARE. Your GC sounds a bit flaky, if that's all he/she can focus on.

I'm glad you think so...having Bangladeshi parents (who are a lot like indians...), they think the B+ killed me...but nice to know there's hope!

You're in, easily. They don't care about the B+. Seriously.

^ Easily? No. With a great essay and recs to accompany your other amazing stats? Yuppers.

your councelour is a douche.. you have excellent chances at any school, especially science oriented schools (i.e. Stanford, CalTech, MIT)

you are definitely more impressive than I am: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/513033-please-chance-me-ivys-uk-schools-updated.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/513033-please-chance-me-ivys-uk-schools-updated.html</a></p>

thanks to all of you...anyone else, what do you think i should do for HYP? I feel highly unlikely i'll get in

I think you've done all you can for HYP...you've taken care of your academics, been involved in extracurriculars, and obviously put a lot of hard work into getting near perfect test scores. Seems like the rest is up to recs and essays...and fate!

I hate it when it all comes down to fate! But do you guys know anyone without a perfect GPA (3.98, like me) who got into MIT, Harvard, etc?

woah 4.84 weighted and 3.98 unweighted? Talk about inflation

did you get 2nd place at the National JSHS? That's quite impressive.

No, not nationally, unfortunately! Thread revival! anyone else? if you're asian do one B+ kill you?
