hello guys. this is the first time i actually wrote a practice essay. not my best but im still getting a hang of the 25 minute thing. following xiggi method now(i just saw it while i was gonna make a new thread for u guys to rate this horrible essay).
one quick question: is it ok if i refer to that excerpt of w/e they give us to write about on the essay?
anyways here it is:

Prompt: It is imporant to question the ideas and decisions of people in positions of authority?

essay:

Questioning the ideas and decisions of an authority are very crucial. The authority could be a corrupt government or even a company going into bankruptcy. The people are responsible to question the authority. If they are not diligent enough to question the authority then chances are the authority has become corrupt.
For instance, back in the 1600s, King Henry XIV or more notably known as the Sun King took charge of France at the age of four. He ruled France for a very long time - almost 75 years. Although ruling a country for a long time is generally good, King Henry XIV ruined France's economy and France's 'golden age'. He used a lot of France's wealth and fortune into making something worthless (in terms of politics). Using the wealth and fortune he built the magnificent Palace of Versailles- a palace made of precious metals and marble. Although the palace is certainly beautiful, it was costly and almost put France through a depression period and an economic crisis.
Had a citizen of France stood up and question the King's ideas and decisions, the country could have maybe grown stronger and people would have become "better thinkers."
