I love the diversity of people and cultures and such that NYC has. I enjoy meeting and getting to know different types of people, and I think it'd be wonderful to have that exposure.

Do you guys think that if I called they'd tell me when/if they were mailed? I don't want to be annoying, especially in such a busy time, but I really want to know! Gah.

Congrats to everyone that's going to be attending Barnard next fall! I'm a high school junior right now, and my sister graduated from Barnard in '06 and I'm hoping to get in Early Decision, so I'm surfing all of these boards now! Hope you guys will tell us of your great experiences!

My favorite part about NYC...I hate answering everything, but it's true. I visited NYC for the first time when I was six and have been in love ever since. It was like the second I came there, it felt so natural and, suddenly, I knew everything was leading me there. It's so corny and cheesy, but it's true. I've loved many places, but I've never been so completely connected to one like I have been with NYC.

I got in to Brandeis today! But for spring, which was really weird. It's not Barnard, but I guess it's a nice option ;)

I'm glad someone's representin' with some laces...I am a flats person myself...but still probably equally into shoes, superwoman! And I love Jamaica also!!! If we both get in we definately need to hook up and go shopping!

sigh. I'm officially emo as of now. No use of eating ice cream or tickling a baby or petting a furry object because I STILL DIDN'T GET ANY COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE LETTERS YET. ZOMG. I'm gonna explode. jgheroigheoirgneroignoergnorgioerngor I can't wait any longer!!!

Yeah, part of the reason that I applied to Brandeis was the Jew-ness all around campus. I love Jew-ness :). I think it's weird that I got in midyear (I also feel stupid because I thought some kid said he got in midyear on the group, so I added him and he wrote on my wall saying he got in fall and asking me what midyear was. But whatever) but I need all the options I can get in the likely event of a Barnard rejection. Also, as dumb as it sounds, I figure Brandeis is pretty selective, so maybe I have a shot at Barnard too...even though Brandeis' acceptance rate is higher.

Brandeis is definitely selective, so I think you have a good shot! And I know how desperation goes; I applied to Dalhousie and Acadia last-minute due to extreme stress over potential rejections. :(

We've got a Columbia, a U of Chicago, multiple Tulane and Rice, two Julliard, a few Boston College, two Wellesley "Likely"s and one Columbia/JTS dual degree kid. The rest...all waiting for the 31st/1st. It's gonna be b-a-d.

Did any of you receive an email from COLLEGE BOARD IDOC requesting you to send certain colleges your 2008 tax income forms? Barnard was one of the 2 colleges in the list.

Yeah, I got an email...or at least my dad did....about a month ago. I'm not sure if it was about 2008 tax income forms (or is that what IDOC is? I have no idea) but it was about filling out the online IDOC thing.

yea, they were due I think March 2nd, I sent them in the week before, and they told they received it on March 8th. Just send that stuff as soon as you can!

omg. I'm so angry. I asked my guidance and she didn't even knowwhat that was! And since none, NONE of my friends or classmates heard about IDOC, I just assumed that it wasn't important. Yes I will mail that thing tomorrow. But darn it it's 3/17 already!!!

i have a question about HEOP at barnard.
1.) what kind of questions do they ask you at the interview?
2.) if barnard called me to tell me that i should schedule to have an interview because i qualify for HEOP, that does that mean?
