<p>I have been lurking on this forum for about a month and I've noticed there is very little action. I know my son is really looking forward to getting a decision Saturday evening. Anyone else?</p>

This forum is really dead. There must be thousands of students waiting to hear back.</p>
<p>When will we find out about merit aid.</p>
<p>I don’t know how RPI notifies of merit. Some schools let you know with the acceptance letters while for others it trails by 2 or so weeks. Anyone know?</p>
<p>My son received his with his acceptance. There was a link at the bottom to the financial aid info. They had the complete package ready, not just merit aid. Good luck to all!</p>
<p>My son is also waiting for the decision, along with two other boys at his high school. We know two people who recently graduated from RPI and they both loved it and have good jobs. One other student we know is a senior and is on the track team. He also loves it.</p>

<p>How do we check? Does anyone have a portal? I used common app and never got a portal to check the status of my app.</p>
<p>You should have gotten an email from RPI after you submitted your app. The email contained a link and a PIN for you to access your account to check on the status of your app.</p>
<p>Yep. Portal. I have to admit their portal isn’t as good as others I’ve seen. It didn’t includes updates on the supplemental materials including the portfolio my son submitted. And there is nothing about financial aid materials received. 7 1/2 hours!</p>
<p>Hi @gamergal27, we’re waiting anxiously here, too. Or at least I am, my S is out at a birthday party and said he’d rather wait until he gets home than figure out how to check mail on his new smartphone. </p>
<p>I’ve decided that my new business venture (ha, I’m not really an entrepreneur, though I do work with software developers) is going to be to fix up these admissions portals.</p>
