ive heard from a lot of schools a lot earlier than expected. do you think ND will sent letters out earlier too?

Highly doubtful, but who knows.

Schools do seem to be notifying everyone earlier...I was very taken aback when UNC released decisions an entire week early.

I hope ND does the same because whether it's good or bad April 10 is simply too long of a wait for a decision! Even April 1 seems too long. I think they should just send our decisions NOW.

im waiting earnestly for ND!...if they mail their decision on the 1st of april...who knows how long will it take to come here...(im an international)...the wait is excrutiating!

For int'l applicant, decicion will be sent by email followed by letter via courier by end of Mar.
If they email to ask for your permanent addres for sending the "documents" by DHL, that means you are in. This email usually arrives in mid Mar. So check your mail box regularly in these few days. Good luck to you.

i have realized that school are sending decisions early, but i doubt that ND will (this is just a personal feeling)...wish they would though as it is the last school i am waiting to hear from

For those who might know...is it a big envelope or a small one for admits?

Big envelope. None of that small envelope tomfoolery.

i cant wait....when exactly do we hear? i know first week of april but when are the letters mailed? im just wondering if it will be here april 1 or towards the end of the week

Hey guys- I'm at ND in the class of 2012. I went RD as well, and I'll give you a little heads-up.They said last year that the letters go out on April 1st, but I received mine on May 31. And I live in Florida. People who are closer could get it even earlier, so you really only have about two weeks or so to wait. Good luck to everyone!

Oh, and if you get your acceptance letter before other people, don't ruin the surprise by telling everyone what it says or looks like. I was really grateful for everyone last year who let me find out when I opened it.

Thanks for all the info!!!!!

@Polishamrock89

thanks for the encouragement and letting us know! btw, in your post i think u meant 31st march...not may 31 =P

Oh, yep- good catch! Thanks!

Thanks, Polishamrock! We nervous wrecks can hope for an earlier deliverance.

he meant he got his march 31, right? cause im not waiting to may.. we have to commit before then anyhow.

Do you love Notre Dame? And, if so...what do you love about it?

well, today i received my architecture portfolio back with a standard reading letter (meaning i could not detect either a positive and negative undertone)

this does tell me that they have made their decisions because if they had not, why would they have returned the package to me at this point in time. in addition, the package was post-marked the 17th, which means it took about 5 days for the package to get here from ND and I live in RI. This seems a little long and I certainly hope that it does not take until April 5th for my decision to come.

OK hawkswim09 did you freak out when you saw the package from ND?

completely....it was a big envelope too and i know somebody that got in before and he said they send out big envelopes too. the only thing that made me doubt at that split second before i opened it was that it was really earlier and the package had "library return" or something like that on it.

it was only a false alarm....lol....now i will have to wait another two weeks.

I was told by someone in admissions that they are scheduled to mail decisions this Thursday 3/26.
