Rd admissions

yeah i'm also class of 2012 and i got my letter march 29 last year; i sent in my acceptance march 31. i live in pennsylvania.

that would be awesome....i would really like that to be the case because I can hardly wait until they release the decisions so i can make my plans accordingly.

by the way, the package i received took 5 days because it was sent library rate in which ND paid less because there was no rush to get it back to me and because they paid less it took longer to arrive. Therefore, I assume that ND will not send decisions by library rate and so the decisions should take less time than the 5 days that it took the other package to arrive to me in RI.

so if decisions are mailed 3/26 we will get them a few days later. will the financial aid package be included in this as well?

im a little worried though because my idoc information was made available to ND 3/19, so im not sure if the package will be ready? anyone else in a similar situation?

i got a letter today regarding an all expense paid weekend in april too! :)

Mail on Sunday?

last year, the 29th was not a Sunday, it was a Saturday

Yes, she meant March 31.

Of course I love Notre Dame! What's not to love? The campus is absolutely gorgeous (even on crappy days, you can look up at the dome and it seems to shine even brighter than when the sun is out), despite the winter weather. There is always something to do, so if you're bored, you're trying really hard to be that way. The professors (in my experience) are more than willing to help out, especially if you are respectful when speaking with them... and pay attention in class. The classes can be tough, but if you work hard, you can definitely pull through just about anything. Dorm life is awesome- we don't have a Greek life, but the dorms have a little bit of that atmosphere to them. Football games are overwhelmingly fun, even if we lose (which we're doing less of these days!), because the campus is so alive with Notre Dame spirit- there are about a million people walking around on a football Saturday, and a lot of people go all-out for their attire (I personally go with full face paint and THE SHIRT). I could go on for hours about how much I love it here and why, but some things you have to find out on your own. Someone telling you how awesome it is is nothing in comparison to experiencing it. If you're accepted and decide to come here, you won't regret it. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your thoughtful reply! I was reading your posts from last year and was excited that you got in! My daughter applied RD and I'm really nervous about her getting in! And, if she gets in, I'm nervous about affording it! We have 4 kids and this econmy is not helping! The bottom line is that I know that it would be a perfect fit for her! I'm saying my Hail Mary's!

financial aid stuff is usually mailed after the decision letter, unless you were deferred and they were able to work on your aid beforehand

i am anxiously awaiting my decision. like ring, i know that i would fit perfectly with ND (kind of like when you know a house is your home, once I walked on ND's campus I knew ND was the place for me), but I am really nervous. Hopefully they will be sent out on the 26 and i will hear before saturday!!!

did you all send IDOCs in?

yah i did IDOC but it was made available 3/19. im wondering if they will have a package ready in time...

i never did....i did not even fill out any financial aid b/c my parents said we would not get any, but that was fine with ND (they called and let them know)

Anyone know the date that they send the letters out? This is really starting to get old.

No Idea, but nothing yet to show-up in my Midwest mailbox

yeah i can't go if i don't get money.. hawkswim what was your EFC?

anyway, most colleges are supposedly mailing them out in two days

I talked to a low-end person in admissions (physically at University) and he said they're looking to mail out decisions on Thursday.

So cross your fingers.

if they mail on thursday, how long should it take to get here? i live in florida
