My daughter applied RD around the middle of December, and Vassar is still missing her transcript. It was uploaded into the Common App in October, and all of her other schools have received it. She's giving it another week or so before contacting them, per their instructions.

same with me, I applied RD mid-december and they have everything but my transcript. Considering how many kids apply to Vassar, I bet they’re just bogged down in paperwork at this point. I wouldn’t worry.

I applied december 18 for Early decision. they just got transcripts & teacher recs (so everything) this morning.

Yeah, I applied RD in the middle of December and they say that they don’t have one of my teacher recommendations. It’s super frustrating! But, I understand how busy everyone in admissions is.

I recently applied ED and they’ve gotten everything except my COunseslor Recommendation and ED agreement. They were sent together but somehow they got my transcripts despite me sending them out waaayyy later than the counselor recommendation so I’m assuming it got lost in the mail :/

If I applied ED, should I be able to see if they got my ED agreement ?(because it’s not on my checklist) Also, is there a way I can see if they received my financial aid materials?

Transcript received!

@neveratmydesk

I actually just got an email saying they have no received my ED form and time is running out. If they have received everything at you have not been emailed you should be fine but you could always check with your guidance counselor or whoever you had it sent to to be signed off and ask if they did it. I had to bring a hard-copy of the form for the counselor head to sign and then scan &email it to them.

I have not rec’d any notification of any sort (reg decision app completed mid Dec)–no snail mail and no email. Were you all sent some sort of user id and password to check your application status online? Should I call?

@lbroccoli I recieved my ID and PW quite a while ago and all of my materials are listed as received. I finished my application on the 26th of December. I think you should email them. It’s easier for them to check your status if you communicate via email as opposed to phone.

@samisbond

Well, it should be ok then. I find myself getting more and more paranoid about my application as the days go by.

I emailed them two days ago and they still haven’t replied.
I think I might have to call tomorrow. My school sent my school report/transcript on Dec 17th and Vassar still has not received them.

I emailed them a week ago. No reply. It says they don’t have my transcript or counselor report. I think they’re just slow with filing, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

My guidance counselor sent my transcript and recommendations to all of my schools in late November. All of the others have received them but they’re still listed as “not received” on my Vassar checklist. I e-mailed them over a week ago and they still haven’t e-mailed me back Ahh.

don’t worry, my son’s gc sent it september and it is still listed as not received yet.

Don’t worry, they’re constantly updating. I was getting a little worried myself as it took over a month before my status was updated and now I’m “missing” one thing. I guess that ED applicants and in state citizens are probably getting these notices the fastest though.

Now to do the Midyear reports and FAFSA
