RD Changing??

I just check my CIS and my RD changed....anyone else?? Should I contact my new one?

Same here...what region are you in? I'm in Region 3. LT Pasco now instead of Capt. Leahy.

I was gonna give my BGO a call to see what's up.

I'm in Region 3 also, and have the same change...I'm going to try to get in contact with my BGO and see what he says.

have you found out any info concerning the change? I'm still very curious about this...

I haven't been able to get hold of my BGO...it's spring break and he's probably gone.

From what I've heard, often times the RD spot is filled with grads and such that are in between assignments. So, it is a sort of revolving door. I think you should call up there and "introduce" yourself and express your desire to attend etc.

Just got off the phone with my BGO and he said that no action was necessary. They have all the required info.

He also told me that I'm on the "A" list (don't know exactly what that is, but it sounds good) for the Greater Houston Area. Apparently this extends from College Station to near Baytown.

He also said there were only 25 names on the "A" list. Considering the size of Houston, the number of applicants each year, and the sheer competitiveness of the area, I think thats a good thing.

The waiting is killing me...

I know it seems ridiculous and such, but I have only heard this as rumor....they log in how many times people call and how much you want this can be a factor. It can't hurt and is only a phone call. Good luck.

NAPS05mom,

You are absolutely correct...I bugged the hell out of my fleet co-ordinator (for civilian applicants this is the BGO) and he told me that when he briefed my package to the board he told them that I had made a lot of calls and that I was checking up on everything. He said that the whole board smiled and almost all of them wrote something when he said that. Communication is key.

I just sent him an email introducing myself, explaining how usna has been a life-long goal...the basics.

Anyone know where I can get the phone number for the RD? CIS only has the email address.

Thanks

I think all my daughter did last year was call the Naval Academy, ask for admissions and then ask for the RD. Really, pretty easy. Good luck.

My BGO officer said it couldn't hurt to email him.
