Zoeinnj----possible either one will end up there, depends on a lot of things including what FA looks like since we will have 3 in college this fall.

Did I mention they are double legacies?

I am not legacy.

To those who has been accepted: did anything change on your "Application Status" page?

^^^
No my application status page is exactly the same as it was before I was accepted

At least last year - yes, rejections and admissions went out in the same "waves". And the waves appeared to be pretty random.

Good luck to all those still waiting, and congrats to those already admitted!

Thank you, Chedva, I know I am much more anxious than my child...mail just came and still nothing...

Oh, how well I remember! For some reason, the post office seemed to be a couple of days behind with our house as compared to the houses in the development around the corner - all d's friends who had applied to the same schools heard from them before she did.

Just keep breathing! And remember, just like pregnancy, this too shall pass.

Kind of wish they changed the application status...this is extremely nerve-racking for me AND my parents.

I live in CA. Would I expect anything (acceptance/rejection) anytime soon, now that it's mid-March ish.

in Hawaii, nothing yet for anybody

in Washington State....still nothing

D got the good letter on the 10th...in Houston.

I live on Long Island (NY) and I still haven't gotten anything, but my friend who goes to my school has..... hmmm

i live in rochester & know two people who called the admissions office, who said letters are sent out in three random (i'm pretty sure) waves.
the people i know who've been accepted don't seem to be any better than those who haven't heard yet.

oh, i remember now... they had some big mix up at the office and one of my friends (who called) thought it might have something to do with when the person sent the application in? who knows.

I got an email from the financial aid office but I haven't received my decision yet. Is it a good sign? It said he reviewed my fin. aid application and I needed to send something in. Perhaps it is a good sign because why would they review someone's fin. aid profile if they are going to reject that person. Or do they send everyone's application to the financial aid office?

On February 25 I got an email from the financial aid office asking me a very specific question about something on my financial aid application. I was accepted to URochester last Saturday (March 8). Interpret that however you like, but I'm betting your email is a good sign. I doubt they have time to review financial aid apps for kids who aren't going to be accepted : )

I wonder when the next wave of acceptance letters will be coming out .. or do they post it on the website also? I suppose there is a thread about that, I should go look for it...

o.wondering, no posting of decisions online. Snail mail only. Sorry (yes, it sucks).

o.wondering: nothing here yet, either positive or negative. If they mailed them on Wednesday, one would think that someone would have posted about it by now...

I admit that I was crazed enough to go to the USPS web site and see how long first class mail should take between Rochester and here. They say 2 days. (Well, it gives me someting to do other than washing the kitchen floor, albeit less contructive!)
