Re-take class

I'm taking a few dual-enrollment classes at my high school and I currently have A's in all of them except one B in my college English class. Do you think that I can re-take that class once I get to UCF so I can get an A?

Idk but I have A’s in mine too. If I get a B I will cry  lol but yeah I hope so. Do the grades we get affect our college GPA when we are actually in college or do we just get the credit for taking the class?

Our college GPA  and we get credit for the class regardless

Ahh true. Well as of now I have a 4.0  3 A’s and I’m in two classes right now. One I have a 97 in, and the other Idk b.c she doesn’t do grades because we can “calculate them ourselves,” but I’m pretty sure I have an A or high B

I just need all A’s because I will most likely get some more B’s in college and English should technically be an easy A.

That’s exactly my logic. And yeah I’m usually pretty good in English , I got A’s in Enc1101 & 2, but my stupid AP lit teacher is incompetent and hates me so I got a B even though her class is like my easiest class. :(

Re-taking a course because of a ‘B’ is not a very good idea. You have to learn to accept B’s in college, and in some occasions, even C’s. Just take the grade, learn from your mistakes, and move on with your life. Don’t waste time and money because of a ‘B’.

^ Yeah I wouldn’t retake B’s I’d just wish I got an A, but to each his own. What would happen if you did worse?

Just keep in mind that Grade Forgiveness will only be awarded if the original and repeated courses both are taken at UCF AND it is limited to two courses.

I honestly wouldn’t use grade forgiveness unless it’s a ‘D’ or an ‘F’. It’s ridiculous to even think of re-taking a course because of a ‘B’. As long as your other grades are solid, there shouldn’t be anything to worry about. That ‘B’ won’t even be noticeable to your GPA after a semester or so.

How many classes do you take in college? As a Biology major?

I’m taking 4 classes and a lab this semester. That equals 13 credits. Next semester I’m taking 16 credits. You need at least 12 credits to be considered as a full time student.

Cool so this B pretty much won’t affect my gpa at all!

Of course it will, just not drastically. It’s really not a big deal.
