hi everybody, i am trying to retake one of the class which i received a "C" in community college. have anybody done this? i talked to my counselor and he said my school won't let me retake the class unless I failed it. I am planning to talk to the instructor when the summer session begin. if that doesn't work out, I'll work my way up to the dean, vp student personal, or filing a petition to the committee. Meantime, i am trying to find out how other people go about it in this situation. Changing this "C" to an "A" will greatly improve my chance to get into the college i am seeking to get into. i appreciate any advices or tips.

Hey… ya def. do that!.. I mean ur the one paying for it and putting the hard work in… i took Bio 101 6 week course at my comm. college and it brought me down to a 3.0!..i received a C as well

Retook it, and im back up agian to a 3.7.

Im not sure if the comp. system wont let you retake the course? or did a counselor just tell you that you couldnt?

if the councelor said so i would just sign up for it anyway and take it!
Goodluck

thanks rvr22, I can get a 3.9 if i change the C to an A instead of 3.8. and it means my life to get into a berkeley.

sure no problem…when you really look at it, 3.9 does make all the difference compared to a 3.8, and 1 class can change it all!

It doesn’t matter. Retake the class if it will mean that you will be learning more. Getting a 3.6, 3.8, 3.9 doesn’t really matter that much. If your goal is to transfer to Berkeley, a 3.7+ is amazing and if you challenge yourself by looking into a more advanced class and do well in it, I think it should more than make up the difference.
