Claremont McKenna actually became my number one but I had already done REA to Stanford after the fact!</p>
<p>@savethetrees I’m also. Applying to Harvard and Yale so those come after standard but the likeilihood of getting into those. Is unlikely… I like washu and duke and Penn a lot too… I have a lot of reach schools on my list so if. I get into one. I would so happy cause I’m in love with all of them even though stanford is clearly number ome</p>
<p>Anyone know if this year’s almost twenty ccers is more or less than what it usually is for scea stanford? Cause to me only twenty of us on cc seems kinda low compared to the six thousand applicants</p>

<p>It’ll seem gaming is one of our common languages. I didn’t hide that part of my life in the application as I think it is not to be discredited as long as I am learning from it. Plus the gaming industry is a serious business, most University now has computer entertainment institute and even majors…</p>
<p>I think I might be the only CS applicant who isn’t into gaming. Like I had a minecraft phase for awhile where I ran a pretty popular server but other than that I just like the programming aspect. I love making games and apps for others to play but I myself have never really been addicted to a game.</p>
<p>This is probably why all my released games are targeted at casual gamers, buy hey, it’s a demographic nonetheless!</p>
<p>Last summer I got addicted to Runescape, I easily played at least 14 hours every day. I was actually happy when my account got hacked because then I lost interest. I would have never studied if I went on with it</p>

<p>So I’m thinking if decisions are to be released Wednesday, Stanford will be announcing that by today. If they’re releasing them on Friday, they’ll let everyone know by Wednesday. This isn’t based on any facts, just wishful thinking…</p>

<p>Somebody created another thread specifically for 2018 decisions. The name is “<strong><em>Official Stanford 2018 SCEA Results Thread</em></strong>” Noone has posted there yet as obviously no REA decisions are out yet but for those of us who want to communicate our acceptance decisions, that thread is more relevant.</p>
<p>I just found out that 16 students have applied from my son’s HS, including my son. He claims he is the one and the only of his kind but whether Stanford agrees to his self-evaluation, remains to be seen… Several more days, guys, hang in there!!!</p>

<p>I have prepared a rejection package containing dark chocolate, a large jar of Nutella, a cow pillow pet, The Smith’s CD, and tissues. The rejection package can easily become an acceptance package if you swap out Morrissey for something a little more exciting.</p>
<p>12 people are applying this year, but I think I’m the only one applying REA.
About 9-12 apply every year. In the past 3 or 4 years, only two have gotten in.
If I get rejected, I’ll start playing Baby Blue by Badfinger. </p>
