<p>right now i have a 2.8 gpa. i applied to ucr, uci, and ucsd for the fall 09 semester as a sociology major but criminology major for uci. i know im in the minority here with a gpa under 3.0 but can i at least get into ucr? any feedback is appreciated. thanks.</p>

<p>You still have a chance at getting in. Not everything is based on your GPA, admissions will look at your EC’s and such. The 3.0 link that is provided by the above poster should encourage you that you still have a fighting chance. Good Luck.</p>
<p>Sociology is a major that is not as impacted as other majors such as business economics and english… I’m assuming you’ll be alright.</p>
