Really confused

I told my counselors before break, on the 22nd, to send everything (transcripts, sat's, etc) to the colleges that were listed on the transcript release form. I didn't complete my applications until yesterday. How can I make sure that everything was recieved (transcript, etc)? I sent in all my apps online.. help?

You can only confirm that your counselors sent in all your materials, after resumption. However, I don't think you can be certain of the receipt of your materials till near January's end, cos from 3rd to mid-january, most colleges will be very busy sorting out stuff and won't have time to reply emails or answer phone calls....but you can always check your online status if your prospective college provides one.

Yea I know the online apps all went in, I have confirmation, it's just that I don't know if they threw away my transcripts and stuff since there was most likely no application for them at the time..

OK, i understand the situation. Of course, the colleges would have received your credentials. The only problem would have been sorting them out/filing them, since they had not received your main application at the time. But that's assuming that the credentials arrived before your online app was received. Were they sent by courrier?

ALthough many colleges stipulate that applications should have been submitted before any other supporting material is mailed, but you shouldn't worry at all. I don't think they'd throw anything away immediately if it couldn't be filed. And besides, all admissions offices are closed for the break, and if your credentials were received by the 24th and upward, I doubt if the envelopes would be opened till the 3rd. no fear, relax.
