I’m a bit confused regarding some test policies set by most universities. I’m currently enrolled at a private international school in the Middle East where the language of instruction is in pure English (with the exception of my Arabic language class.) I’ve been in this school since the 1st grade, so I’ve never been exposed to academia in a language other than English. My native language is also English, since it is the main language spoken at my household with my family & friends. With that being said, am I required to take the ILETS/TOEFL? Many schools that I’m applying to do not require SAT/ACT scores, but they do require TOEFL/ILETS scores IF an applicant’s native language isn’t English. I’m extremely stressed about this because I feel as if refraining from sending both test scores (SATs & ILETS) would make my application seem weak, if not incomplete.
If it helps, I’ve also maintained a 100% average on all of my English classes from sophomore year up until now. I’m considered by my teacher to be an honorable student within the course.

Why not check with the colleges?
I assume you have no problem with TOEFL and if you have concerns why not include your ACT/SAT scores?
Every school’s policy will be a little different, but sending your SAT/ACT scores will usually cause them to waive the TOEFL requirement. I would contact the schools to confirm whether you need proof of language ability. Sometimes the bureaucracy just wants its paper no matter what. The Canadian government makes immigrants from all countries (including Australia) take the IELTS to prove English proficiency.
