REALLY struggling to make friends

I do hope next year will be better with some established friends attending your college.

I know you feel that as a shy/introverted person that counseling would not be useful but I disagree. You don’t need to go into in-depth emotions, you don’t have to go every week etc. but professionals who are familiar with the school may be able to provide some guidance/advice and act as a sounding board to help increase your comfort level with social interactions at the college. It doesn’t hurt to try going once or twice when you return in the fall.

There’s a meetup in our town for people dealing with social anxiety. If you don’t have one nearby, you can start it. A lot easier to talk to people who understand what you feel. But you should seek counseling too.
