<p>Essay - I plan on writing about how my GPA is low due to a medical illness i had causing depression. After finding a donor, I decided I wanted to become a doctor and was motivated to work hard(hence SAT)

<p>i know you said class of 08 and older, but i felt that i should provide some input on this...
I honestly think you have a great chance.
Get those recommendations, and those SAT scores and the admissions at NYU will see that you are indeed motivated enough to attend their school.</p>

<p>Everything is excellent except GPA. It's .6 points below NYU's average - not good. It immediatly shoots down your chances, but if you do well in everything else, you have a chance. Good thing you're applying to CAS too - at Stern it would be auto-reject, but I think you have a 50-50 chance for the CAS</p>
