rec letter envelope

Should I write my address as the return address or let the person who is recommending me write his address?

Write your HS address.

Really? Is that required? This person is not a teacher at my high school. He is doing the optional recommendation.

In that case it should be his address (or his work address)

nah you dont write any return address on the envelope -- that is completely up to the person, they can choose to put the schools address (if he/she is a teacher) or their own

just put the mailing label to the college on there and some stamps

Thanks everyone!

Hmm... Speaking of which...

You know how we need to put rec stuff in an 8x12 envelope? What's the postage for something like that? Cause its not 37 cents (or whatever the postage is at these days).

I think I'll just throw an 80 cent on there until i get a response or call the Postal Service, just in case.

:)

well to send it from seattle it's 49 cents

usually a 9x12 with a few papers in it is around 60 cents, so if you throw on two 37's you are good to go

guys... if you put your own address, it's fine.

Yeah, 60 cents sounds right.
