For Financial Aid applicants: check your portal. I think if your IDOC documents still have "Received —Still Processing" (as opposed to "Satisfied") you can almost 100% guarantee your application was rejected. If it's satisfied (and you submitted in March), I think this means at least a waitlist and probably an acceptance.

What’s your basis for this?

I don’t know if I believe this. Some of mu finaid forms say received and satisfies, others say received and processing.

So what is your theory about my status, which says “waived”??

I really really hope that’s true haha

If there are people whose portals say “received and satisfied” for all documents including IDOC then that theory might be correct. Personally, my FAFSA and CSS say “received and satisfied” but my IDOC says “received- review in progress” under the unsatisfied category… :(

Mine is satisfied for all documents, and I’ve gotten emails about missing documents as recently as a week or so ago. If I get in to Dartmouth, I’ll probably die of happiness

Some people got in last year who didn’t have satisfied for all docs…

It could also mean that they don’t want to go through your IDOCs because they already have seen FAFSA and CSS and won’t give you any aid…

Mine says Review in progress for IDOC Documents, CSS and FAFSA satisfied… :’(

Guys you will learn everything in 1400 minutes. Now, just chill. There is no point in speculating so much on it. Just 23 hours 20 minutes to go. And 8 hours will be sleep. So, just find a way to cope with remaining 15h 20m. It’s doable, no?

Who am I kidding? My IDOCs also say received-review, so I’m probably rejected. Despite having much more qualifications than 2 of the people last year from my school who got into Dartmouth, I’m probably rejected. I thought that these four years of balancing a good social life with hard work (not just in school but also in ECs) would give me a happy ending, but apparently not.

Maybe I can attribute it to my poor start in freshman year, during which I wasn’t even in the top 10% of my class. But now, I’m in the top 2-3% with 2390 and 800x2 (math and chem), so I THOUGHT that that would give me something. I really wanted to have Dart as an option, but I guess that won’t happen now. I never expected anything from Harvard, Yale, or Duke, but now I can’t expect anything from Dart either. NU HPME (which I spent so much time and money to interview for) and MIT’s rejections hurt somewhat, but come tomorrow, I’ll receive the biggest blow in my whole life…

Sorry if I sound pretentious or entitled, just trying to piece this whole thing together…

Did anyone who received a likely letter still have “Received —Still Processing” on any FA items? That is the only way to accurately determine if that means anything. It could be that FA still hasn’t gotten to some files yet of admitted students. bobdylansmith123, take a deep breath, relax just 20.5 hrs and you will know for sure. Either way you are a hard working, intelligent person who will do fine in life where ever you end up!

@riogemini, Yes, I’m pretty sure someone from last year’s thread said that they were accepted before the official release date and their aid status was such. But unfortunately, there are also others who have come out and said they didn’t get in and their aid status was such.

But then there are also some who didn’t get in with the received - satisfied status. I don’t really know what to say about that…

Thank you for your kind words.

So basically it probably means nothing and we’re all paranoid…

I maintain that if your financial documents still says in review, and not satisfied, you won’t be getting an Acceptance tomorrow.

@plt222 let us have hope for a few more hours

Anyone else have a similar situation? All of my documents are “received and satisfied” except mt Title IV says under the status category “Declined Award” Not sure what to think, I guess come tomorrow I will know!

@Bkaz126, do you think you’re overqualified for financial aid?

Also OP, just curious, what is your status?

possibly, but more curious if they would inform declined applicants of this information, or if others have anything under that status @bobdylansmith123

Idk, but honestly, I didn’t expect to get straight up denied… :(
