Receiving Letter from Director of Admission Post-Interview?

Did any of you who interviewed at Hamilton get a letter from the director of admission after your interview? I heard some people did so I'm curious to know if it is something everyone gets or just some applicants get.

I got one!

I got one as well. Are either of you legacies? Do you have siblings at the school or are your families potentially being targeted as possible donors? Just trying to contextualize, thanks.

I am not a legacy, and I don’t have any siblings at Hamilton. I did do an overnight stay though.

Nope. Not a leg, no siblings, etc

Do you know if everyone gets a letter? Or only some people?

was it a letter or an email? also how long did it take for the letters to come because I had my interview a few days ago and haven’t gotten anything.

Kburden I am assuming you didn’t receive a letter?

I did get a letter

I got one as well. I’m not a legacy, not an athlete, and didn’t stay overnight. I found the letter consistent with my entire experience at Hamilton. There are many colleges where you can get a great education, but each has their marketing hook and what they think makes them unique. Hamilton seems to pride itself on being welcoming and that was definitely a factor in my decision to apply ED.

I toured about 15 colleges last April during spring break (for NYC and much of the East Coast). Many schools were also hosting admitted students at the time, so everywhere was really, really crowded. Yet somehow Hamilton had enough tour guides that we were all in groups of no more than two students per guide. And people were so friendly - it was dramatically different from any other school I visited and made a big impression on me. The letter felt similar. And my parents just got a nice letter about the value of a Hamilton education even though I’d already applied ED by that point.

They just seem to go out of their way to be nice at Hamilton, which I suppose means that if they reject me on Friday, they’ll at least be gentle about it.

Yea i got a letter and a post card. I heard that the letter isnt sent out to everyone, but i guess i heard wrong. Also @nnms728 what ended up happening with the january admission thing?
