Has anyone received an email asking for their recent transcript? I just received an email this afternoon that said:
"We are in the process of reviewing your application. Before we can complete our review and reach an
admission decision, we need the following information from you:
Please reply and attach a copy of your [CC] recent transcript."
I applied to UCSB and UCLA. Does anyone have any experience with this?
@sevensparrows I would not be concerned about this just yet. It simply means that they need more information. If you attended several CCs, they may need to verify your grades from your previous CCs beforehand. Or if you had an AR (academic renewal), they may need to verify that. Some people on other threads received similar emails asking to either send unofficial transcripts or explain something on the application (for me it was a gap in education).
Either way, make sure to send them a copy of your unofficial transcripts as soon as you can.
@BlackPlasma “Now I’m thinking they already rejected me.”
You really shouldn’t be looking into at all. At this point, it’s meaningless to put much of any thought behind anything they do. Best thing you can do is just is just forgot you even applied until decisions start coming out.
Thanks so much @lenocturne! I submitted it just now. I checked both my UCSB and UCLA student portals and UCLA says “Application Received” while UCSB says “Decision Pending”. So we’ll see!
