For my personal situation, i need to end up dropping a transferable class. This class is not a pre req class or Igetc. Will this effect my admission to UC LA or UCB?

If you have an application out in review, you must write each campus to let them know IMMEDIATELY.

If you haven’t applied, absolutely no big deal at all.

Yeah, just let them know what happened…but asap. Especially since they are evaluating transfer applications right now!

Good luck! [:

as long as it doesn’t affect your IGETC, pre-reqs, or unit cap, you’ll be fine.

if you search for a thread by pinkerfloyd it shows every school and how to contact them about changes. there is also an e-mail address that is used to contact every school, i would send it individually as well as through the universal e-mail.

Both above posts are spot-on. Good luck.

A UCSD representative came to our school and one of the main things he stressed is that W’s don’t hurt your application, even if they are in UC-transferable courses. Not sure if that’s true for all the UCs.

anyone have a link to pinkers post? I ended up dropping a PE class and receiving a W. I need to notify LA and CAL as well. I’m sure this wont affect me right?

there you go

anyone knows what would happen if I alltogether do not notify them? It’s just a PE class…any thoughts would be great.

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT if you want to make sure your acceptances arn’t taken away, any class no matter what needs to be reported, don’t take any chances, what’s the point of not telling them anyways. just write a quick note with your name, app. ID, and other personal info. and your done.
