So my math teacher wrote me an amazing rec letter, and uploaded it for all of my common app schools, but she also gave me two paper copies with the school's envelope. How exactly do I go about mailing the paper copies to colleges? Do I need to have her sign over the seal before I send it?

Those are extras for schools that you may have applied to that weren’t on common app or for some scholarship programs – since it seems all your schools take the upload, just hold onto them. Schools used to be very particular about signed/sealed envelopes – it doesn’t seem so any longer.

Just hold onto them unless you need to send one to a scholarship pgm or whatever

And if you need to send any by mail, rec letters do not need to be sealed. You just address the envelope to the applicable admissions office of the college.

So I can just mail off the letters without any official seal or signature and it won’t hinder the rec letter in any way?

Yes. But you don’t need to send them to schools you’ve already sent them to via common app, got it?

Yes I understand that. I have 3 non CA schools that I need to mail them to.
