recommendation mix-up

one of my recs was from an english teacher, the other from a history teacher. but chicago requires one math/science teacher. is there anything i can do at this point, or should i just sit and wait and hope that it's no biggie?

If you can try to get a math/science teacher to write you a recommendation by Friday, that would be ideal. The two different recommendations are listed as a requirement.

From the credentials site:
Essays, Secondary School Reports, SAT or ACT Test Scores, and Teacher Recommendations may be emailed to recommendations@uchicago.edu or faxed to 773-702-8599 (domestic fax) or 773-702-4704 (international fax) by the end of the day on Friday, February 20.

I have to agree with goldfish here. The admissions team has made it rather explicit they want one from each in both application materials and in response to blog posts and questions here on CC.

My best advice is to call tomorrow and alert them of the situation and ask if it is alright for you to submit an additional recommendation by the deadline. I'm sure they will be accommodating. GL!

offtopic: is philosophy and computer science a good combination?
ontopic: talk to you Chicago Counselor, I'm sure he/she'll understand.

Thanks guys-- issue resolved!
