I have a recommendation from physics teacher who is really, really close to me.

But now I need another one. Should I go for an english or history teacher (humanities) or a math teacher?

I do well in humanities, however I am not as close as I am to my math teacher (I also do well in his class).

But, I have heard that recommendations from both the sciences and the arts are better, so should I just go for the humanities or just settle for my math?

What are you saying for your prospective major? Even if it is science-related, it’d be good to have some diversity in recommendations and have your English or history teacher do it, especially because you already have a good recommendation from your physics teacher and looks like you aren’t too close with your math teacher.

I got my recommendations from my physics and history teacher and I’m a happy camper at Cornell.
