Are there any good colleges that only require one letter of recommendation from teachers, (in addition to counselor rec).

someone please reply... thanks

notre dame, i think hopkins, but im not sure. case western doesn't require any. Do you only have one teacher you can get a recommendation from? Don't sell yourself short and only look at schools that require one recommendation letter, unless all but one of your teachers detest you.

Hamilton College in NY only requires one recommendion but you have to send in a graded paper

U Chicago, Georgetown and quite alot of other colleges had only 1 recommendation

U Chicago requires two, one from an English/social studies teacher and one from a math/science teacher. I know this for a fact since my daughter was homeschooled and applied to Chicago. She had had no outside math/science courses and so I had to write the recommendation. I've checked the web site -- they still ask for the same two.

WUStL, I know, requires only one.

I can't see making college choices on this basis, however.
