Recommended Newspaper to enhance critical readig score for the SAT

Okay so over the summer, im going to order a subscription to a newspaper. Currently I have the Daily News and it is really crappy. My CR score is pretty low in the mid 500's and Im hoping reading everyday from a well developed newspaper can effectively rasie my score. What do you guys recommended?

Wall Street Journal?
New York Times?

NY Times
How about magazines?
Try the economist or the new yorker

i would recommend reading good books instead. to name a few, pride and prejudice, jane eyre, and wuthering heights are loaded with sat vocab and require good reading comprehension skills in order to understand them.... plus they're chick flicks!

there are plenty of "BOOKS TO READ BEFORE COLLEGE" lists online; i recommend looking them up and reading those

NYT, Economist, Christian science monitor

Common choices among periodicals include the New York Times, the New Yorker, the Economist, so on. Of course, better are books, at least in my opinion. For one, they're enjoyable.

Read something you'll be willing to read. New York Times is a good choice. You can also read online magazines. I think a lot of the articles on Slate are well written.
