RED ACT BOOK- iS it a good book?

Do you guys think that the Red act book is good to use to study? I don't know. Do you guys think that it is really close to the real act test?

It’s the only prep book with official ACT tests, so yes, I would say it’s good.

What do you mean? Do you mean that it has the real ACT tests in it? Like the ones that you get tested on?

It has 3 official, retired ACT tests.

Well, it is a good book ONLY because it has 3 real tests in it, other than that I found just about nothing that I liked in it. So many people recommend it but I can’t tell you why… For each of the sections they give you a few examples with not much explanation or instructions. If you actually want a book to give you REAL tips on how to answer the questions or more in depth explanations, not the generic “make use of your time, read the instructions before you take the test, go to bed early… etc” tips then get the Barron’s or Princeton Review books.

I like it for the practice tests but yeah, the explanations and whatnot aren’t that great. I used the princeton review and kaplan, and the princeton review DID help me with my math, even though a lot of it was harder than the actual test, I thought.

I don’t know about that one specifically buttt I used the Kaplan one and really liked it.
