@ck9817 yup. www dot facebook dot com/groups/reedcollege2021/
@Fangirl1999 ‘never remove your mask’ ~ every superhero movie ever.
@winterkomt it’s okay, I prefer not to wear a mask. It makes it harder for copycats to impersonate me and it means Ben Affleck can’t dress up in a bodysuit and pretend to be me. I also find it makes me more personable
I called the admissions office, apparently they sent the boxes early! Today, actually!
@ck9817 ‘all’ the boxes? did they just send some of the boxes i.e the equivalent of early admits. or did they send ‘all’ the boxes?
@winterkomt I’m not sure if it was all. my reception was bad, and I’m in public so it was a quick call. He just said “the boxes”
I’ll note that reed seems to be strongly opposed to early letters, and I’m not really the typical candidate for one anyways.
This is very disheartening. If indeed all boxes have been shipped out, as an international student I should have received an e-mail by now.(Regardless of the outcome)
They may not have sent the international peeps emails yet! I’d say don’t get worried until some international students start replying here that they got in
@winterkomt we would’ve been informed even if have been rejected. I guess they’ll be releasing all decisions soon, maybe sending them in a few batches since they’re known to handwrite something on all letters? Maybe the one’s written might’ve been sent first.
I can confirm that some of the boxes have been shipped out; I just called the admissions office and they said that they mailed out some of the decisions yesterday. You should hear back at the latest by next Friday.
So, if you go to fedex and track deliveries coming to your house you can see the sender, etc. and I have a shipment coming from Reed scheduled to come tomorrow!!!
I’m pretty sure they don’t ship denials!!!
If anyone wants to try go to fedex tracking and create an account!!!
P.S. If denials are 2 pounds, I will doubt everything in this world.
P.S, Very sorry for the profuse amount of exclamation points, very excited.
The Fedex tracker will only work if you created the account before the package was sent out. @Biogirl1998 if you have a Fedex package from Reed coming your way, I can confirm that you have been admitted. denials and waitlists come by USPS. You may proceed to perform a victory dance and prepare your offering to the nuclear reactor!
@Biogirl1998 is it strictly FedEx?
@Dylan197 Yes, you can sign up for a Fedex account here and check: http://www.fedex.com/us/delivery
It states that it is from Reed college and weighs 2IB
Does anyone know if it’ll be a problem that I used a PO box as my address?
Any idea which courier service is used for internationals? Or is it FedEx for everyone?
Internationals can’t create FedEx accounts afaik
I think international students just get an email.
@cashme All international applicants will receive notification of their admission/denial via e-mail. No need for courier. in the US admissions are sent via Fedex while denials and waitlists are sent via USPS.
Oh, thanks!
I thought internationals accepted to Reed might receive the courier.
Any idea till when do we wait then? If couriers have already started being sent?
