@stressedboy I am anxious too but to be fair, they did say that everyone will know by April 1st and that’s there’s only official statement. We are just not as lucky as other people
@stressedboy Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It’s sort of discourteous and unprofessional to not tell everyone at once.
@rubys1996 agreed. Oh well. I suppose I’ll check in with y’all again tomorrow to see what the heck is going on. I really hope they explain what they’re doing.
Maybe today will be the day. Best of luck to everyone!
Regarding Reed acceptance notice. I am in Asia and have not received any word. I do log on to the admissions site http://admission.reed.edu/status.taf , still no word. However I was told directly by Reed that those living outside the US would hear via Email.
Does anyone have reason to believe that they’ll email everyone, admitted or rejected, versus just sending snail mail to those who’ve been rejected?
Any chance They’ll send out decisions today?
I have no idea, but I really hope so, @Maxwell1491 (and say yes to everyone waiting to hear here)!
has anyone recieved an email today? I live in the US Virgin Islands and haven’t recieved anything… hoping that does not mean rejection…
@london2va can you guys post your stats?? Thanks and congrats!
I’ve not seen anything yet today. I’m guessing notifications will resume tomorrow.
@ilikeacting Sure!
2220 SAT (700 M, 750 CR, 770 W)
32 ACT (28 S, 29 M, 36 R, 35 E - Perfect multiple choice, but 11/12 on the essay…)
4.03 W GPA (my school doesn’t release unweighted, but I would assume around 3.7/3.8)
Class Rank: 45/526
AP Scores - English Lang 5, US History 5, Environmental Science 4, French 4
Senior Year Classes - AP Physics C: Mechanics (double block class), AP Lit, AP Macro, AP Comp Gov, AP Calc: AB, Advanced Band, and I’ll be taking the Human Geo and US Gov tests without taking the classes
ECs - Mine are kind of all over the place because I moved after my sophomore year, so it looks like I stopped caring about certain things after 10th grade, but that’s just because I was at a different school with different opportunities.
Gay-Straight Alliance - 9th-12th, Co-President 10th, Founder/President 11th, President 12th
Model UN - 11th-12th, Awards and Chairing during 11th, Co-organizer of the largest MUN HS conference on the east coast during 12th, USG for Personnel/Finance 12th

South Africa/Ubuntu Club - 9th-10th, Traveled to Cape Town and Port Elizabeth to visit the Desmond Tutu HIV Youth Center and the Ubuntu Education Fund (This was NOT a service trip - we really went to just make friends and visit a new place. I would never go on a service trip because the entire concept is super awful)
Varsity Girls Lacrosse - 11th-12th, Junior Manager 11th, Senior Manager 12th
National Honor Society - 12th
School-based Theatre - 9th-10th, Involved in 7 productions during that time, Traveled to national theatre festival in Nebraska two years in a row

High School Diplomats - Accepted to travel to Princeton last summer for a cultural exchange, applied and was accepted to the follow on program which will take me to Japan for a full month this summer - both programs are full scholarship, so it’s not like one of those stupid programs where you pay to boost your resume
Awards and Stuff - National Merit Finalist, AP Scholar with Honor, general school/club awards

Does anyone know if financial aid packages are released solely in the mail with an acceptance packet?
@marianna221b: The portal says (if you click around) that financial aid info for RD will be available after April 1. Apparently they will email you a PIN, which you need to log in to see the award. Good luck to you! (My S still waiting for a decision.)
